PRIVACY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

OVERVIEW

At John G. Patte C.A. Professional Corporation, I am committed to protecting the privacy of my clients' personal information.

I have reviewed and enhanced our privacy policies and procedures to provide assurance to my clients that the personal information I collect to complete my work is kept in strict confidence.

I have also ensured that my privacy policies and procedures comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which was enacted January 1, 2004.

PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED

I am required to collect certain personal information from my clients to perform my accounting services. The following services require the collection of personal information:

T1 Personal Tax Returns
- preparation of T1 returns
- paper filing and e-filing T1 returns
- preparation and filing of notices of objections

Special Accounting and Tax Planning Services
- tax, estate and financial planning
- estate tax return preparation
- US 1040/1040NR tax return preparation

All required personal information is collected solely to perform my accounting services, as outlined above. I do not provide any third parties with personal client information for the purposes of advertising or marketing.

LIMITATION OF USE, DISCLOSURE AND RETENTION

Personal information will be used and/or disclosed only for the purposes for which it was collected. My firm will retain clients' personal information as long as we deem necessary to perform my accounting services.

Personal information will be maintained as accurate, complete and up to date as possible.

CONSENT

I collect personal information, as outlined above, only with my clients' consent. By providing my firm with requested personal information, the client acknowledges their consent for its use.

If I require personal information for a different purpose, the client will be notified before or at the time of collection. Client consent will also be sought if my firm intends to use existing personal information for an alternative purpose.
